About the Journal

All submissions to the Global Heath Equity are subject to a fair, supportive, and double-blind peer-review process. We comply with ICMJE and COPE guidelines for editors.

OUR VISION

We aim to foster more equitable global health research and editorial practice by promoting greater involvement and ownership of researchers from low and middle-income countries in the editorial and publication process. We firmly believe in a decentralized publication model where the knowledge producers have more control over how research is published, reducing exuberant costs currently paid for publication and dissemination.

We therefore firmly support:

1. Open access publication, where authors have the right to retain copyright.

2. Publication is not conditional upon paying any publication fee from the author(s) or host institutions.

3. Journal architecture is fully transparent and governance is fully decentralized with maximal involvement of researchers from low and middle-income countries in the editorial and publication process.

Articles in Global Health Equity are free to publish. To cover our costs, we will be conducting a fundraising event annually. Our total production cost is estimated at 25 USD per publication, of which we pay 15 USD as remuneration to the editorial assistant for pdf layout and the remaining to support day-to-day journal activities.
